Ingredients:
- 1 turkey (about 4 pounds)
- 3 cups chestnuts, peeled and cooked
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large roasting pan, place the turkey and chestnuts. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with the onion, thyme, rosemary and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, or until the turkey is cooked through.
