Tajine of Chicken Wings and Carrots in Sauce

This tajine is a delicious Moroccan-style recipe that combines chicken wings, carrots, and spices to make an incredibly flavorful meal. The key is to cook the ingredients slowly over low heat to ensure all the flavors meld together. Serve with couscous or flatbread for a complete meal.


  • 2 lbs. chicken wings
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced into rounds


  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, onion, garlic, ginger, cumin, paprika, turmeric and olive oil. Mix until the wings are evenly coated.
  2. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the chicken mixture and cook for 7-10 minutes or until the chicken is lightly browned.
  3. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Add the carrots and continue to simmer for another 10 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Serve with warm couscous or flatbread.
