Tajine de poulet aux pruneaux (au Cookeo ou pas)

This traditional Moroccan dish is sure to please the whole family! Made with chicken and prunes, this flavorful tajine is cooked in a special clay pot with a conical lid that traps in the steam. Whether you make it in a traditional clay pot or in your Instant Pot or Cookeo, you’ll have an aromatic and delicious meal.

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup dried prunes, pitted and halved
