Spritz Cake – A Classic and Alsatian Cookie Recipe with a Piping Bag

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in vanilla extract and egg, and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until fully incorporated.
