Sablé Cookies

These traditional shortbread-like cookies are an easy and delicious treat. With just a few ingredients, they can be prepared in almost no time!

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until combined.

Form dough into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
