Muffins Bananas & Chocolate Spread

These muffins are an easy and delicious way to use up ripe bananas. With a crunchy topping and a creamy chocolate spread center, they are sure to be a hit with the whole family!

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite chocolate spread, plus extra for garnish.

Preheat the oven to 350° F (175° C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line with paper baking cups.

In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Gently stir in the flour until no streaks remain.

Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with batter. Place ½ teaspoon of your favorite chocolate spread into each muffin cup. Top with remaining batter.

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of one comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.
