This Moroccan chicken tajine is a delicious and easy recipe to make in the Thermomix. With its fragrant spices, tender chicken and juicy vegetables, it’s sure to become a family favourite.
- 1 onion
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 teaspoons of cumin
- 2 teaspoons of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 500g diced chicken thigh fillets
- 400g can chopped tomatoes
- 200ml vegetable stock
- 400g potatoes, cut into wedges
- 200g carrots, cut into chunks
Add the onion and garlic to the Thermomix bowl and chop for 5 seconds on speed 5. Scrape down the sides with a spatula and add the olive oil. Saute for 3 minutes at 100°C on speed 1.
Add the cumin, paprika, turmeric and ginger to the Thermomix bowl and cook for 1 minute at 100°C on speed 1.
Add the chicken, tomatoes and vegetable stock to the Thermomix bowl and cook for 25 minutes at 100°C on reverse + soft stirring speed.
Add the potatoes and carrots to the Thermomix bowl and cook for 15 minutes at 100°C on reverse + soft stirring speed.
Serve with couscous or rice.
