Gratin of Pasta and Chicken with Bechamel Sauce

This Gratin of Pasta and Chicken with Bechamel Sauce is a delicious baked dish that combines creamy béchamel sauce with chicken, pasta, and cheese. It is sure to be a hit for the whole family!

  • 1 lb of cooked chicken, diced
  • 2 cups of cooked macaroni or other pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch baking dish.

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in salt and pepper. Add Parmesan cheese.

In the prepared baking dish, layer half of the macaroni, chicken, and béchamel sauce. Top with remaining macaroni and chicken. Pour remaining béchamel sauce over all; sprinkle with cheddar cheese.

Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
