Grandma’s Chicken Recipe

This classic chicken recipe is sure to be a hit with your family. It’s easy to make and full of flavour. Serve it with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a salad for a complete meal.

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup white wine

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Add the butter to the skillet and melt. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.

Return the chicken pieces to the skillet and pour in the white wine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from oven and serve hot.
