This traditional apple cake is a simple, comforting recipe that will bring joy to the whole family. It’s easy to make and sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups apples, peeled and diced
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time until well blended. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture; mix until just blended. Stir in the apples.
Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 40 minutes in preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
