Fondue de poireaux

This is a delicious and easy-to-make French dish that is perfect for any special occasion. The fondue of leeks is made with soft, sweet leeks cooked in a creamy béchamel sauce. It can be served as a side dish or as an appetizer. You can even add some cheese to make it more flavorful.

To prepare the fondue de poireaux, you will need:

  • 2 large leeks
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Begin by washing and trimming the leeks. Slice them into thin rounds and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced leeks and cook until softened, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle the flour over the leeks and stir to combine.

Pour in the milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the fondue warm with crusty bread or crackers.
