Easy Genoese and Cream Cakes for New Year’s Celebrations

  • Ingredients:
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until mixture is thick and creamy.
  3. Add melted butter, vanilla extract, and flour; mix until combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before frosting.
  • Cream Filling:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a medium bowl, cream together butter and confectioners’ sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract; mix to combine.
