Crème Caramel – Grandma’s Recipe

This Crème Caramel recipe is a classic that has been passed down from generation to generation. It’s easy to make and always a hit!

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and cornstarch.
  3. Bring the milk to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Slowly add the hot milk to the egg mixture while whisking constantly.
  5. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over medium-low heat until it thickens, stirring continuously.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Pour into 6 individual ramekins or one large baking dish.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
