This Chocolate Bread Pudding Cake is the perfect way to transform your left-over bread into a delicious dessert. It’s moist, chocolatey and oh so tasty!
- 2 cups stale white bread, cubed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups milk
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, melted butter and chocolate chips. Stir until all of the bread is evenly coated.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla extract and milk. Pour this mixture over the bread cubes and stir to combine.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
