This classic French dish is a simple yet delicious way to make chicken. The mustard adds a great flavor to the chicken and makes a wonderful sauce to serve over steamed rice or mashed potatoes.
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a bowl, combine mustard and wine. Place chicken breasts in the dish and pour mustard mixture over them. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Remove from oven and set aside.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour and paprika until smooth. Slowly whisk in the pan juices from the baking dish until sauce is thickened. Pour sauce over chicken and serve.
