This easy Chicken Mhamer Moroccan-Style recipe is the perfect way to enjoy a classic Moroccan favorite without spending hours in the kitchen. A flavorful combination of spices and herbs, combined with succulent chicken pieces, make this dish an absolute delight.
- 1 kg chicken pieces
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cups chicken stock or water
- In a large bowl, mix together the onions, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander and turmeric. Add the chicken pieces and coat them in the spice mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the spiced chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste and stir to combine. Pour in the chicken stock or water and bring to a boil.
