Chicken in Cream Sauce

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream


  1. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  2. Coat each chicken breast in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.< li >Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side or until cooked through.< li >Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.< li >Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the chicken broth to the skillet. Stir until combined.< li >Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.< li >Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes or until sauce has thickened.< li >Serve warm over rice or with your favorite sides.
